In a groundbreaking move for South Carolina women’s basketball, head coach Dawn Staley has enlisted WNBA legend Lisa Leslie to join the coaching staff. Leslie, a three-time WNBA MVP and four-time Olympic gold medalist, will focus on developing the Gamecocks’ frontcourt players, bringing her unparalleled experience and expertise to the program.

Leslie’s illustrious career includes two WNBA championships with the Los Angeles Sparks and eight All-Star selections. She also made history as the first player to dunk during a WNBA game in 2002. Her accolades extend to being inducted into both the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015.
