After being chosen for the Spain squad, Marc Cucurella is the most recent Chelsea player to be called up for the 2026 World Cup.

Head coach Luis de la Fuente has chosen the defender, who was a member of the La Roja team that won the trophy at Euro 2024, for the 26-man team that will travel to North America this summer.
Since making his debut for Spain in 2021, Cucurella has established himself as a regular, garnering 23 caps and hoping to increase that total in this summer’s tournament.
Spain will play Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, and Cape Verde in Group H. Facing June 15, they take on Cape Verde to start their campaign.
