Breaking: Chelsea’s chosen new top contender for the manager position

According to reports, Chelsea is having serious discussions with Xabi Alonso about taking over as manager, but they are also closely monitoring Cesc Fabregas before making a decision.

Alonso has been in constructive negotiations with the Blues regarding the position at Stamford Bridge that Liam Rosenior left behind following his dismissal in April.

During the draw with Liverpool, Chelsea demonstrated that they could play in Alonso’s preferred system, making the most of important players Marc Cucurella and Moises Caicedo.

Aside from Xabi Alonso, Chelsea’s top contender is Cesc Fabregas.

The Blues want to have a new manager in place before the World Cup, so if they don’t receive guarantees that Alonso will take over, they’ll probably fire him.

They would then have to consider other applicants, such as Como manager Cesc Fabregas, for the position.

Fabregas is really the other front-runner to take over as West London’s manager, according to Flashscore.

According to Glen Johnson, Fabregas would be respected by the Chelsea players, something Rosenior lacked.

In Rosenior’s last game as manager, Chelsea players were blatantly disobeying his instructions, which is a certain way to make things go wrong.

Fabregas’ position toward Chelsea

John Terry has endorsed Fabregas as one of football’s most potential coaches, and it’s clear that he gets along well with Chelsea supporters.

Fabregas is hesitant to take over at Stamford Bridge, though, because the team has changed significantly since he was a player.

Additionally, he is working on a highly promising initiative with Como, which has confirmed their first-ever qualification for European football.

He will undoubtedly want to carry on with that trip, possibly delaying a move to the Premier League.
