Enzo Fernández Could Leave Chelsea as Real Madrid Circle for Midfield Reinforcement

In an effort to find the ideal Toni Kroos replacement, Real Madrid has been compiling a list of midfield targets ahead of the summer transfer season. One of Real Madrid’s top targets may be closer to leaving his club than many may believe, despite the fact that many of their targets are regrettably tightly attached to their clubs.

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez may leave the Premier League team during the summer transfer window, according to Gaston Edul on X, with Real Madrid being one of the most likely destinations for the Argentine.

The elite midfield player has been linked to Real Madrid several times over the years, but no deal has ever come to fruition. However, by the time the summer transfer market opens, that might suddenly change.

After a stellar 2022 FIFA World Cup, the 25-year-old signed a €120 contract to join Stamford Bridge. Despite Chelsea’s years of inconsistent play, he has been one of the team’s greatest and most reliable players. One of Liam Rosenior’s most crucial players, Enzo is one of the first names on the squad sheet each week and has scored 12 goals and provided six assists in all competitions this season.

Enzo might still be moving in the summer despite his significance, with the Bernabeu being the midfielder’s preferred destination. The midfield player has always piqued Real’s interest, and now may be the opportunity to finally make a transfer.

The Argentine is seen by many at the club as the ideal replacement for Toni Kroos, who has retired. The midfielder would add another dimension to the Real Madrid midfield with his amazing passing range, unmatched tempo control, excellent defensive work rate, and South American intensity.

The precise cost of acquiring the midfield player is yet unknown, but it would undoubtedly be near or higher than the €120 million Chelsea repaid in 2022.

Aurelien Tchouameni, Arda Guler, and Vinicius Jr. are just a few of the players Chelsea admires, according to earlier reports that suggested the club may search for players in exchange for Enzo. Los Blancos will undoubtedly not want to let go of any of those players in order to sign Enzo, so whether the team likes it or not, they will need to spend a lot of money if they want to sign the World Cup winner in the summer.
