Derby County will look to secure their first home win of the season when they tackle Southampton this weekend.
Fresh from being held to a 1-1 draw with Charlton on Tuesday night, Will Still’s side are next up for John Eustace’s side in their last game before the international break.
Saints have not enjoyed the best of starts to their campaign after their dismal relegation from the Premier League last term.
But they did beat Sheffield United in midweek that should give them some confidence ahead of their trip to Pride Park.
Derby are yet to bank three points at home but have only lost one of their last five games. Admittedly, three of those have been draws.
They do have some injury problems to contend with going into the game at the weekend and here DerbyshireLive brings you the latest.
Eustace is expected to give another update when he conducts his pre-match press conference this afternoon.
Dion Sanderson
Eustace said the club will check in on the centre-back to see if he will be okay for Saturday given he admitted Sanderson is playing with a knee injury.
Derby’s head coach said the on-loan Birmingham man hobbled off after the game against Charlton on Tuesday night.
He will be given every chance to prove his fitness for Saturday’s game against the Saints.
Rhian Brewster
Brewster should be back after the international break if he is deemed not fit enough for the game on Saturday.
The former Liverpool man tweaked his groin prior to the West Brom game and missed the trip to the Hawthorns.
Been out ever since.
Curtis Nelson
Remains out until October after suffering a setback in his recovery from a serious knee injury he sustained last season.
As a result, he was not named on the EFL squad list, and John Eustace confirmed that this would allow him the time to recover before his return, although that will not be until January.
Corey Blackett-Taylor
The winger is on the grass but has yet to resume full training. He is working on his recovery from a hamstring problem he sustained against Stoke City on the opening day of the season. Should be back after the international break.
Liam Thompson
Won’t be back for the weekend owed to a knee injury he sustained in training. Initial diagnosis was that he would be out for four to five weeks.
Should be back after the international break.
