Current ESPN college football analyst and commentator Greg McElroy on Florida State football in 2025: “Anybody’s guess to what Florida State will be this year. I welcome any input that you might have because I don’t know…

Florida State football already endured a 2-10 season in 2024. We, as Seminole fans, had to suffer through that dreadful campaign after the fact that the program went through the heartbreak of being snubbed from the four-team College Football Playoff in 2023 in favor of a one-loss Alabama Crimson Tide.

There were SEC homers, such as ESPN college analyst and commentator Greg McElroy, who continued to put salt in the wound for Florida State fans as they tried to say that they didn’t deserve it from 2023.

As much as it stings, I want to put that 2023 campaign and move forward, but McElroy seems not to want to keep the Seminoles out of his mouth. I get that he wanted to get his beloved alma mater, Alabama, in the playoffs, but it becomes obsessive at some point.

McElroy discussed Alabama’s potential for the 2025 season under second-year head football coach Kalen DeLoach, which opens up with Florida State. When discussing the Crimson Tide’s win-loss potential on his “Always College Football” show, he talked about the Seminoles’ 2025 squad:
