Urban Meyer, former head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes, has expressed strong support for Michigan’s offensive coordinator and head coach, Sherrone Moore, following the Wolverines’ self-imposed penalties related to NCAA violations. Meyer commended Moore’s leadership and demeanor during a challenging period for the program.

In the 2023 season, Moore stepped in as Michigan’s acting head coach during Jim Harbaugh’s suspension. Meyer observed Moore’s interactions with players, noting that he “had fun” and maintained a positive presence on the sideline, even in high-pressure situations .
