Polish powerhouse Legia Warsaw is apparently interested in 21-year-old Ghanaian striker Jalal Abdullai, suggesting that he may be on the move once more.
Abdullai has begun preseason preparations with the Swedish Allsvenskan team after returning to IF Elfsborg following a loan stint in Norway, although other European teams are eager to recruit him.
Abdullai has made an impression with his speed, agility, and finishing skills since joining Elfsborg in the summer of 2023 from Ghanaian team Inter Allies FC.
He was on loan at Molde FK last year, and after his productive time in Norway, the club allegedly thought about signing him permanently.
Despite this, Abdullai signed a deal with Elfsborg until 2028 and returned to Boras Arena at the end of the season.
A number of teams, including FC Copenhagen, FC Midtjylland, Genk, Anderlecht, Middlesbrough, and Preston North End, have previously expressed interest in the Ghanaian forward.
According to reports, Legia has now joined the list, indicating fierce rivalry for his signature should Elfsborg want to cash in.
Abdullai is a desirable prospect for European teams due to his technical skill and attacking variety.
It’s unclear if he will remain in Sweden or pursue his career elsewhere as the January transfer window goes on.
