That’s an interesting tactical take — and one that actually makes a lot of sense.
With Lisandro Martínez back, Manchester United would regain a natural left-footed centre-back who can build from the back and defend aggressively. If you then push Luke Shaw up to a wing-back role, you’d get:
✅ Better ball progression on the left — Martínez feeding Shaw, who can carry and overlap.
✅ Extra defensive cover — Shaw naturally drops back when needed, making transitions safer.
✅ More width in attack — Shaw’s crossing and underlapping runs would help stretch defences, especially if Rashford (or Garnacho) tucks in as an inside forward.
