Former Ipswich Town defender Toto Nsiala has left League Two side Shrewsbury Town for family reasons.
The 33-year-old re-joined the Shropshire club for a second spell last summer, reuniting him for a fourth time with then-boss Paul Hurst.
Nsiala was unable to help prevent the Shrews from getting relegated to the fourth tier last season, playing under three different managers.
He’s made five appearances in all competitions this term under Michael Appleton, but has now made the decision to take some time away from football.
“I’d like to thank everyone at Shrewsbury Town for some brilliant memories at the club”, Nsiala said after leaving the club.
“To be part of a team that finished third in League One and reached two finals at Wembley was an honour. Returning to the club and being added to the 100 club wall was special too.”
Nsiala arrived at Portman Road as part of a £2m double deal for him and Shrewsbury team-mate Jon Nolan in the summer of 2018.

He went on to make 78 appearances for Town, scoring one goal during his spell in Suffolk, before departing the Blues’ to join Fleetwood Town in January 2022.
