Oscar claims Enzo Maresca summer signing is already ‘the face of Chelsea’
The Blues have only won two of their first six Premier League games this season, which is a mediocre start. To try to strengthen the team, they made a lot of additions during the last transfer window.
Chelsea anticipates being more competitive since they think their current team is stronger than theirs was the previous season. That does not, however, account for the number of injuries sustained by a number of first-team players.
Regretfully, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is skeptical that the current team can play in both the Premier League and the Champions League simultaneously.
Joao Pedro is chosen by Oscar as the new talisman for Chelsea.
Joao Pedro, who signed from Brighton in the summer, is the new face at Stamford Bridge, according to former Chelsea player Oscar.
On The Obi One Podcast, Oscar responded, “I think he is because he’s already there in the Premier League,” when asked if Pedro is the right player to be Chelsea’s number nine. He is skilled at scoring goals. He scored a lot of goals for Brighton, but it’s hard to score goals in the Premier League’s smaller teams. He now scores goals in every game he attends at Chelsea.
“He is powerful. He has both the head and the feet to score. He appeals to me. His playing style appeals to me. He is, in my opinion, the Chelsea player who best represents the club. He battles. He has a pleasant disposition.
Pedro’s Chelsea tenure has undoubtedly gotten off to a strong start. In 11 Blues games in all competitions, he has five goals and three assists, demonstrating his versatility as a number 10 or center-forward.
Since moving from Brighton in the summer, Pedro has appeared to fit right in with the starting lineup, despite being sent – against Benfica in the Champions League victory midweek.
Pedro’s exclusion from Brazil’s most recent squad for the forthcoming international break is good news because it should allow him some much-needed time to recuperate. Due to his intense play over the past three months, the dynamic attacker needs it.
Although Pedro’s performance at his new club has really impressed us, he is not yet our choice for Chelsea’s face.
