A Nebraska pitcher has signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Atlanta Braves. Senior Drew Christo has already reported to the team’s spring training complex.
Christo is the third Nebraska pitcher from the 2025 Cornhuskers to sign with a Major League Baseball organization. Mason McConnaughey and Luke Broderick were selected in the MLB draft earlier this year.
The Nebraska native went 3-2 with one save and a 5.61 ERA last season. He had a team-high 31 appearances with 51 strikeouts in 51.1 innings.
In four seasons at Nebraska, Christo finished 7-7 with two saves and a 4.98 ERA. He recorded 128 strikeouts in 133.2 innings while making 64 appearances on the mound.
