Brewster has joined Derby on a two-year contract until the summer of 2027 as a free agent after recently leaving fellow Sky Bet Championship side Sheffield United.
The frontman was a regular for the Blades in the 2024/25 season, playing 42 times in all competitions as they finished third in the table and reached the Play-Off Final at Wembley Stadium.
Brewster, who is 25, is Derby’s eighth summer signing and the third striker to join John Eustace’s ranks ahead of the 2025/26 campaign following the previous additions of Carlton Morris and Patrick Agyemang from Luton Town and Charlotte FC respectively.
A former England youth international, winning the FIFA Under-17 World Cup and the competition’s Golden Boot, Brewster had spells in the youth ranks at Chelsea and Liverpool before signing professional terms with the latter, where he made four first-team appearances.
He also gained 2018/19 UEFA Championship League and 2019 UEFA Super Cup winners’ medals after being named on the substitutes’ bench for the two finals whilst with Liverpool.
An impressive loan spell in the Championship in 2019/20 saw Brewster net 11 goals in 22 matches, before joining Sheffield United in the Premier League for a reported fee of more than £20m in October 2020.

He amassed over 100 appearances for United and was part of their promotion-winning squad back to the top-flight in the 2022/23 season. He netted four goals and three assists in the 2024/25 season, including the matchwinning strike in a 1-0 local derby success over Sheffield Wednesday in March.
