Video: Tom Brady outswings Rafael Nadal in Monaco golf duel before E1 showdown

Changing surfaces is never easy, especially when it requires to switch sports! The E1 Series brought the sporting elite to Monaco, with team owners Rafael Nadal and Tom Brady, among other icons, embracing the glamorous weekend in style.

Before the waters roared with electric boat action outside the Mediterranean jewel, the tennis legend and NFL star clashed on a different kind of battlefield – the Monte Carlo Golf Club.

Nadal, a record 11-time champion on the clay courts just down the hill, could not replicate that dominance on the greens. Instead, it was Brady who emerged victorious following an entertaining battle.

The American edged the Spaniard in a friendly but competitive round of golf. The two champions shared laughs and respect while swinging and driving together, fueling their budding E1 Series rivalry.

Their off-court battle mirrored the standings in the E1 Series, where Brady’s team narrowly leads Nadal’s by one point following the Monaco race that went into Tom’s favor.

The score may be tight, but the camaraderie remains high, showcasing the unique spirit of this new frontier in electric boat racing. The Series will take a break until Lagos on October 5, with the final scheduled for Miami on November 8.

Rafa retired from tennis in November last year at the Davis Cup Finals. Thus, he got a chance to spend more time with his family and embrace more regular golf swings in Mallorca.
