Angel Reese’s 2-Word Message to Caitlin Clark, Napheesa Collier All-Star Draft

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has put together another strong campaign during the 2025 WNBA season. She is averaging 12.6 points, a league-leading 12.8 rebounds and a team-best and career-high 3.9 assists per contest for the 5-13 Sky.

On Sunday, the WNBA announced the reserves for the 2025 All-Star team, and Reese made the list for the second consecutive season. This means that the second-year forward is now a two-time All-Star.

Star Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier, the current MVP frontrunner, were the top vote-getters, so they were named the captains for this year’s All-Star game.

This meant these two players had the opportunity to pick their respective teams from a pool that included Reese and 19 other All-Star players. The selection show took place on Tuesday evening before the New York Liberty played the Las Vegas Aces.

Collier ended up picking Reese for her team with the third pick among the reserves in the 2025 WNBA All-Star Draft after Clark passed on her twice. Reese joined Breanna Stewart, Allisha Gray, Nneka Ogwumike, and Paige Bueckers, among others.

Reese responded to the news on social media just minutes after being selected.

“TeamPHEE,” Reese wrote.

Reese averaged 13.6 points and a league-record 13.1 rebounds as a rookie, which earned her a spot on Team WNBA during last year’s All-Star Game. She scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help her team pull off the upset victory.

The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game will take place at Gainbridge Arena in Indianapolis, Indiana, on July 19 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
