Angel Reese Had Three Words After WNBA All-Star News originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

The Chicago Sky currently have a 5-11 record during the 2025 WNBA season. Second-year forward Angel Reese is pacing the team with averages of 12.4 points, a league-leading 12.6 rebounds and a team-best 3.8 assists per game.

Over the last three contests, Reese has averaged 19.7 points, 17.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals per night. She has shot 48.9% from the field, and the Sky went 2-1 during this three-game stretch.

On Sunday, the WNBA announced that Reese made the 2025 All-Star team as a reserve. The Chicago Sky posted the news about Reese on their social media after the announcement.

This is Reese’s second All-Star honor in her first two WNBA campaigns. Reese was the only Chicago Sky player to make the All-Star team for the second consecutive season.

She responded to the news by reposting the Sky’s message on social media and adding three quick words.

“THANK YOU GOD🙏🏽,” Reese wrote.

Last year, Reese recorded 12 points, 11 rebounds, one block and one steal in the 2024 WNBA All-Star game. She and Team WNBA took down Team USA by a score of 117 to 109.

Reese is the first Sky player to make back-to-back All-Star appearances since Kahleah Copper did it in 2022 and 2023. In 2023, Copper was the lone Sky to make the All-Star team for Chicago, but in 2022, she was one of four Sky players given this honor.

The Chicago Sky return from their six-day break on Sunday evening when they take on the 16-2 Minnesota Lynx. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
