This best-of-three series, scheduled to begin later this week in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, offers the Mountaineers a chance to advance to the College World Series in Omaha.
Mountaineers’ Remarkable Regional Run
Under the guidance of first-year head coach Steve Sabins, the Mountaineers have demonstrated resilience and determination throughout the postseason. Sophomore outfielder Armani Guzman played a pivotal role in the team’s success, earning the Regional’s Most Outstanding Player honors. He concluded the weekend with a .667 batting average, six RBIs, and a pair of doubles, including a walk-off sacrifice fly against Kentucky. Additionally, Logan Sauve, Brodie Kresser, Griffin Kirn, and Guzman were selected to the Clemson Regional All-Tournament Team.
