A class of 2026 defensive back has placed Nebraska in his top eight schools. Four-star corner Danny Odem made the announcement on social media. The other schools in the top eight are Oklahoma, Georgia, Syracuse, Penn State, Florida, Clemson, and Miami.
The Florida native recorded 45 tackles, two interceptions, three pass deflections, and a fumble recovery in his junior season. He also played on the offensive side of the football and recorded five receptions for 40 yards on the year, according to statistics from Maxpreps.com.
According to the On3 Recruiting Rankings, he is the No. 30-ranked corner in the 2026 class and the No. 43-ranked overall player in his class from the state of Florida.
Notes on Weekly Rankings: Double-digit rating increases in 2026 are highlighted by two new 4-stars

2026 CB Danny Odem is the new 4-star.
Orlando, Florida For a few months now, Danny Odem of The First Academy has been on our Top247 Watch List. His grade in the rankings now up to 90, earning him four-star status after he aced an in-person evaluation Thursday night.
In a spring game versus Lake Mary, Odem, a native of Pennsylvania, hauled in a 41-yard touchdown pass and twice intercepted Noah Grubbs, a quarterback commit to Notre Dame.
Odem is an aggressive cover cornerback with proactive hands and exceptional route detection. He is a reactionary athlete with the ideal arm length. Given his ability to jam, turn his hips, and then find the football, he seems like the perfect fit for a bump-and-run style.
Odem, who had committed to North Carolina, will make official trips to Penn State, Oklahoma, Florida, and Nebraska this summer. Miami participates in the hiring process as well. This week, Ohio State made an offer. – Andrew Ivins, director of scouting at 247Sports
Devin Jackson, 2026 SAF, is the new 4-star.
Another highlight of Thursday’s spring play between Lake Mary and The First Academy was Devin Jackson. Jackson, a boundary safety with ready-to-play heft, is a very fluid mover who destroys run lanes and eats up turf. Jackson, who is at ease in man-coverage from a slot posting, manages zone duties while figuring out how to influence passing windows. He recorded 80 tackles, seven pass breakups, and two interceptions in 10 games this past autumn.
With a four-star rating of 90 in the rankings, Jackson, who somewhat resembles current Florida safety Jordan Castell, will also be given serious consideration for a berth in the Top 247. LSU, Miami, Oregon, and Nebraska have scheduled summer official visits for the soon-to-be senior. Ivins
Cole Bergeron, 2026 quarterback, rating boost
The two times we had the opportunity to watch Lafayette, Louisiana’s St. Thomas More 2026 quarterback, Cole Bergeron, this spring, the national scouting staff from 247Sports left impressed. Bergeron, who made his debut this semester with a high three-star rating of 87 on 247Sports, jumped to the highest three-star rating this week (89), placing the 6-foot-4, 210-pound player in the top 15 overall in Louisiana and among the top 30 quarterbacks nationwide. This is a passage from my most current Bergeron scouting report, which I updated for 247Sports:
“An outstanding thrower with touch and timing who knows when to throw to locations so that only his receivers can create plays with the ball.” Consistent spiral and RPMs are fostered by a smooth, repeatable release. An Elite 11 Austin performance demonstrated the potential to reliably rip it to numerous levels into a stiff wind, and live evaluations at other Spring 2025 tournaments went quite well. Gabe Brooks, national scouting analyst for 247Sports
Kosi Okpala, 2026 edge, rating boost
This week, Katy (Texas) Mayde Creek’s Kosi Okpala went from linebacker in our database to an edge projection and shot up to 247Sports’ top three-star rating (89). To be clear, many teams want Okpala as an off-ball linebacker, and we believe he can play both. Looking ahead, however, Okpala’s blend of pass-rushing instincts and frame potential makes him an especially interesting edge presence.
You can see Okpala’s get-off energy and edge-bending flexibility when you turn on the tape. In 2024, in addition to recording notable part-time backfield reps with 11 carries for 76 yards on 6.9 yards per carry, he recorded 55 tackles, 17 for loss, five sacks, and 21 quarterback hurries.
Okpala measured a confirmed 6′ 2″ and around 230 pounds this spring, with exceptional length in the plus-7 zone in relation to height. Additionally, he had remarkable lateral quickness in the shuttle and three-cone drill and generated high explosion ratings in both broad and vertical jumps.
Although many of these traits apply to linebacker or edge, it’s important to note that in recent years, high-ceiling pass rushers have frequently matched large broad jump statistics (as well as track and field leaps). According to reports, Okpala has planned official trips to Texas, Houston, Baylor, and Penn State, and the Longhorns have received numerous 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions. – Brooks
Rating increase: 2026 advantage for DeAnthony Lafayette
In the far too early 2026 NFL mock drafts, Penn State defensive tackle Zane Durant has consistently appeared, and DeAnthony Lafayette, a product of Orlando, Florida’s Lake Nona, is the next twitchy-up pass rusher to be aware of. After witnessing Lafayaette dominate the backfield in a spring game versus Orlando Boone on Thursday night, we gave him a strong three-star 89 rating. We felt he was fantastic at an Under Armour camp in February.
Despite being less than six feet one, Lafayette has a sharp hand and can cut through or around obstacles. Additionally, he has outstanding core balance and burst, which makes it easy for him to plant and redirect. Lately, Miami, LSU, and Oklahoma have all increased their pressure on Lafayette. His speed to quarterback is one of the quickest in the Sunshine State, but his build won’t appeal to everyone. Ivins
Rating increase: 2026 wide receiver Roderick Tezeno (USC commit)
Following a positive offseason filled with outstanding basketball context and a strong live performance at the Under Armour New Orleans Regional, where he also performed well in a combine scenario, Opelousas, Louisiana, Catholic 2026 receiver Roderick Tezeno jumps to a high three-star 89 rating on 247Sports. Test results indicate that Tezeno, who is 6′ 3″, has above-average long speed and extremely good redirecting suddenness, especially considering his stature.
Tezeno’s basketball film featured some open-floor two-hand slams when he committed to USC this spring. This comes after a successful junior season in which he caught 46 catches for 1,047 yards and 17 touchdowns at a rate of 22.8 yards per grab. In recent years, this same high school has produced wide receivers with large frames, big output, and big basketball juice: Keon Coleman, a 2024 second-round pick of the Bills. Brooks
Rating increase: 2026 OT for Bryson Cooley
The highlight of Laurel (Miss.) West Jones Regardless of his long-term position projection, Bryson Cooley exemplifies the kind of dominant offensive line presence that collegiate schools seek. Cooley’s exceptional size (pushing 6-6, 320) and frame make him the kind of O-lineman who might play tackle or slide inside at the next level.
Cooley, both long and broad, rose sharply this week to a high three-star 89 rating in the 247Sports rankings, placing him among the top 15 overall in Magnolia State and among the top 35 OTs in the class. At the Under Armour New Orleans Regional this offseason, he made an impression by showcasing promising body control and movement abilities given his size.
Two weeks earlier, Cooley won silver in the Mississippi Class 6A shot put finals, demonstrating his ability to flash power. According to reports, Cooley will make official visits to LSU and Mississippi State in June. Brooks
Rating increase: 2026 TE Luke Sorensen
Anaheim, California Luke Sorensen, a service tight end, shot up to a high three-star rating of 89 this week. Being in the same league as the new Top247 five-star tight end Mark Bowman has somewhat overshadowed him, but Sorensen is a high-major prospect in his own right and might be among the top in-line blocking tight ends in the country.
Starting at right tackle as a freshman, Sorensen didn’t play much in Servite’s passing game as a junior due to the school’s unresolved quarterback problem, but he has demonstrated his ability to get vertical and win numerous jump-ball battles at offseason activities.
Playing with his natural hands, Sorensen is skilled at creating separation with his body and carving out space. Playing basketball and baseball as a freshman, as well as water polo and mixed martial arts in middle school, gives him the coveted multisport experience. He will play his final year at the age of 17, making him youthful for his grade. Greg Biggins, national scouting analyst for 247Sports
Rating increase: 2026 wide receiver Jerquaden Guilford
This offseason, we’ve had a lot of face-to-face exposure to outside target Jerquaden Guilford, a wide receiver at Fort Wayne (Ind.) Northrop. Guilford most recently performed exceptionally well at the Under Armour Ohio camp, where he was one of the day’s more challenging covers and recorded excellent combine testing numbers. Guilford achieves our highest three-star rating of 89 after previously holding a high three-star rating of 87.
With his combination of frame, explosiveness, and top-tier equipment, the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder has lot of room to rise in the rankings. Guilford wants to increase his output as a senior, though, after a junior season in which he caught 35 passes for 556 yards and three scores. Hudson Standish, national scouting analyst for 247Sports
Rating increase: 2026 wide receiver Craig Dandridge
Alpharetta, Georgia Behind the scenes, 247Sports staff members love Cambridge wideout Craig Dandridge, who has earned our top three-star rating of 89. Dandridge hasn’t slowed down throughout the offseason after having a spectacular junior season with 58 receptions for 1,443 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Since being a challenging cover at the Under Armour Atlanta camp, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound receiver with inside/outside versatility has shown off in a number of live appearances. The most recent was a performance against Walton High School in the spring, where he made several incredible plays both at the catch point and after the catch.
Dandridge has a talent for stacking cuts to keep defenders off balance while penetrating the middle of the field in the quick game. Dandridge is planning to visit Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Stanford, Clemson, and Georgia throughout the summer. Standish
Rating increase: 2026 wide receiver Keymian Henderson Jr.
The 2026 wide receiver Keymian Henderson Jr., who helped Carthage, Texas, win its tenth state title since 2008 this past autumn, soars to a high three-star 88 rating on 247Sports. Henderson put together great combine testing results this spring after a successful junior campaign to add confirmed size and athletic context to his recorded performance.
Henderson, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound outside receiver, intimidates smaller defenders in a variety of scenarios, such as vertical shots, back-shoulder sideline targets, and red-zone targets. Henderson, who had previously played basketball, caught more than 60 passes for 16.95 yards per reception, about 1,100 yards, and 18 touchdowns.
Henderson paid TCU an official visit in early May. Three official trips to Arkansas, Kentucky, and Kansas State are planned for June. Brooks
Rating increase: 2026 ATH, Dre Pollard
Vegas One of the most versatile athletes in the West, Clark athlete Dre Pollard has offers at cornerback, running back, and receiver. This spring, Pollard, one of Nevada’s best sprinters, ran many 100-meter runs under 10.7 seconds, including a 10.61.
On the football field, that pace is evident. Pollard uses both top-end speed and starting quickness to get away from a defender. He caught 36 passes for 568 yards and four touchdowns as a junior, while he ran for 707 yards on 13.1 yards per carry. As he demonstrated his innate cover talents, Pollard also recorded 32 tackles, one interception, three return touchdowns, and more than 500 return yards.
Though some colleges appear willing to let him start on both sides of the ball, the athletic 6-foot, 175-pound player may have the most ceiling at cornerback. With a great senior year, his current high three-star rating of 88 could continue to rise. Biggins
Sir Paul Cheeks, 2026 RB is the new rating.
At the high school level, Sir Paul Cheeks, a swift running back, is an offensive weapon with a remarkable multi-phase profile. As a junior at Chesterfield (Va.) Bird, he lined up at wide receiver, running back, and wildcat quarterback, producing 1,500 all-purpose offensive yards and six interceptions at cornerback.
Cheeks now competes at Henrico (Va.) Varina, where he has a respectable 100-meter time of 10.6 and a 200-meter time of 21.45. When he has space, he can hit another gear with explosive long runs, which demonstrates his pull-away speed.
Cheeks, who just received a high three-star 87 rating on 247Sports, is particularly good at outside zone runs and speed sweeps, which allow him to outrun opponents and gain perimeter leverage. He might also contribute some genuine return value at the following level. He announces impending formal visits to Pittsburgh, West Virginia, and Minnesota. — Clint Brewster, national scouting analyst for 247Sports
Rocky Cummings, 2026 LB, new rating
It’s easy to understand why linebacker Rocky Cummings of Carlsbad, California, has watched his value soar this offseason. Cummings, who stands out at Under Armour Los Angeles, has a good mix of quickness and size. In his seven games as a junior, he showed promise despite missing five due to a severe case of mononucleosis.
Among the top testing scores at the UA LA event were the 6-foot-3 1/2, 216-pound Cummings’ 4.65 40, 9-9+ broad jump, and blazing 7.06-second three-cone drill. He demonstrated his ability to pivot and run with opposition running backs while working out with the linebackers.
On his junior film, Cummings, who made his debut this week with a solid three-star 86 rating, looked explosive as a pass rusher. He could easily put on 30–40 pounds without losing any of his quickness and switch to an edge or 3–4 rush linebacker full-time. Biggins
Zaqwaun Nunn, 2026 DL (Louisiana Tech commit) has a new rating.
Zaqwaun Nunn, who shockingly considers the Bulldogs to be his only FBS offer to date, committed to Louisiana Tech this week. Nunn does not meet the optimum height/weight requirements for a standard interior defensive lineman, who is distinguished by his exceptional length, notable output, and exceptional athletic profile across several sports.
Nunn, who just had a promising three-star 85 rating on 247Sports, won a Texas Class 6A wrestling state championship in the 285-pound class while a sophomore at League City (Texas) Clear Springs, where he played football during his junior season. In the shot put, he also earned a spot in the regionals with a season-best throw of 52 feet, 9 1/2 inches.
Nunn concluded Fall 2024 with 90 tackles, 23 for loss, and eight sacks. He is currently at Galena Park (Texas) North Shore. He’s an IDL fire hydrant that flashes that suddenness and lateral range in pads and has tested very well in a combine setting. Nunn already possesses strength and bull-rushing force, but an extended move set will increase his potential as a pass rusher. Brooks
