The LSU Tigers have scheduled a two-game home-and-home football series with the Clemson Tigers, marking a significant addition to their future non-conference slate. The first game is set for August 30, 2025, at Memorial Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina, with the return match scheduled for September 5, 2026, at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
This series will be the first regular-season meeting between the two programs, though they have previously faced each other in postseason play. LSU leads the all-time series 2-1, with victories in the 1959 Sugar Bowl and the 1996 Peach Bowl, while Clemson won the most recent matchup in the 2012 Chick-fil-A Bowl.
LSU Athletics Director Joe Alleva emphasized the importance of bringing Power 5 teams to Tiger Stadium, stating, “We have put an emphasis on bringing Power 5 teams outside of the Southeastern Conference to Tiger Stadium as often as we can. It’s what we want, and most importantly, it’s what our fans want.”
The addition of Clemson to LSU’s schedule adds to a growing list of notable non-conference opponents, including Texas, UCLA, Oklahoma, and Arizona State, scheduled to play in Baton Rouge over the next decade.
As the 2025 season approaches, LSU fans can look forward to these high-profile matchups, which promise to enhance the team’s schedule strength and provide exciting challenges for the Tigers.
