Breaking News: Eagles Cut 3rd-Round RB To Sign 159-Catch Star

To create space on the 90-man roster, the Philadelphia Eagles waive Tyrion Davis-Price and add an explosive Washington product to the wide receiver position.

After a great performance over the weekend, the Philadelphia Eagles signed undrafted wide receiver Giles Jackson on Sunday, capping off their rookie minicamp with a noteworthy roster move.

Jackson, who was not chosen in the NFL Draft last month, immediately impressed with his quickness, skillful route running, and ability to return. Coaches and team officials were drawn to the 5-foot-9, 187-pound receiver, who immediately signed a contract.

After starting his college career at Michigan, the 23-year-old moved to Washington, where he excelled in 2024. Jackson led the Huskies with 85 receptions for 893 yards and seven scores in their inaugural Big Ten campaign. He had 159 receptions, 1,723 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns at the end of his six-year collegiate career.

Having returned two kickoffs for touchdowns while in Ann Arbor, Jackson also adds value as a returner. He could be able to secure a roster spot on a squad that has prioritized versatility in recent years thanks to his special teams expertise.

Running back Tyrion Davis-Price was dismissed by the Eagles to create space on the 90-man offseason roster. The 49ers’ former third-round pick played primarily on Philadelphia’s practice squad last season, making just one appearance against Dallas in Week 17. In that game, he carried the ball three times for seven yards.

Jackson’s next opportunity to make an impression will come when veterans report and the competition heats up, as Organized Team Activities (OTAs) are scheduled to start later this month. The Eagles might have found another gem in the rough if his performance during minicamp is any guide.
