The Auburn Tigers did something on Saturday they had not accomplished since 1988. That is beat the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington. They did so by winning 94-78 in Rupp Arena.
Bruce Pearl had his name mentioned in the past when it pertains to the Kentucky job. In fact, when the school parted ways with John Calipari his name was mentioned early as a potential target. Pearl had some fun with the past in his press conference after the game.
“Every time y’all have an opening, my name comes up. Why would you want me as a coach when I can’t win at Rupp?” Pearl joked Saturday, admitting that is how he would start his press conference if Auburn had lost.
