Despite a late push, the Auburn Tigers were unable to secure the top recruit for the 2026 class.
On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported Friday that Maryland commit and edge rusher Zion Elee’s recruiting has been halted. Elee decided to continue with the Terrapins and cancel any scheduled official visits.
Elee had scheduled an official visit with Auburn on June 13. He also planned to visit Ohio State, South Carolina, Texas A&M, and Penn State.
Johni Broome sat out practice Tuesday and will be held out again Wednesday as the Auburn Tigers complete on-campus preparation for their game with the Florida Gators at the Final Four in San Antonio.
