The Detroit Tigers pursued former Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman throughout the offseason.
Unfortunately for the Tigers, Bregman opted for the Red Sox instead. The two-time All-Star signed a three-year, $120 million contract with opt-outs following the next two seasons.
